Eagle Seals & Systems setting up a new unit at Pune

Eagle Seals & Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore based Asia I is setting up a new unit at Pune with an investment of Rs. 400 million. The company makes mechanical seals catering to petrochemical plants, power plants, refineries and fertilizer industry. These mechanical seals are mostly used in compressors, pumps and mixers to prevent leakage. The company will also be introducing high speed diaphragm couplings for dry gas compressors

Lohmann commence operations of its Chennai unit


Lohman, a German manufacturer of speciality adhesive tapes has commenced operations of its new unit in Oragadam in Chennai. The unit will manufacture specialized self-adhesive die-cuts used by Laird Technologies, Perlos, Byd Electronics and Samsung India. Lohman can manufacture a range of adhesives for hygiene to graphic, it caters to a spectrum of industries like automotive, consumer, electronic goods, building and construction etc., The new unit was put up at a cost of Rs.350 million on 165 acre in SEZ of Oragadam. The company plans to double its turnover from current 1 million Euros.

Ace Automation to export components to Europe


Ace Automation, a wholly owned subsidiary of ACE Stossdaempfer GmbH has recently set up a assembly unit in Chennai with an investment of Rs. 50 million. The unit will fill gas to shock absorbers  before selling to customers. It currently, markets industrial and safety shock absorbers, feed controls, rotary dampers,  gas springs, vibration and noise absorbers. It plans to set up a manufacturing facility and export the motion control parts to its parent in Germany.

Patel Engineering bags India’s largest irrigation project.

Patel Engineering, a civil infrastructure company has bagged the Pranahita – Chevella irrigation package worth around Rs. 38,590 million. The contract is awarded to the consortium of Patel Engineering, BHEL and Navayuga Construction. The project will divert 160,000 million cu.meters of water from the river Pranahita to irrigate drought prone region of Telegana. The project involves design, investigation, construction, electrical, mechanical and pipeline works.
