Fischer-Brodbeck GmbH is setting up a sheet metal and moulding plant in Chakan in Pune with an investment of Rs.. 100 million. It produces modern tools for die casting industry and caters to automotive, electronics and white goods industry. The project is likely to go operational by 2012. It may be noted, it is the first facility outside Germany for the company.
Daikin, the Japanese air-conditioning equipment company in India is expanding its production line at Neemrana in Rajasthan. It is investing Rs. 1220 million to set up a room air-conditioning equipment line with a capacity to manufacture 5.0 lakh units per year. The expansion programme also includes a sub research facility to customize the products to meet Indian needs.
Kluber Lubrication (a German based Freudengroup company) is planning to invest Rs. 2100 million to expand its speciality lubricants facility in Mysore in Karnataka. Currently, the Mysore plant has a capacity of 3500 tonnes which is expected to grow to 18000 tonnes by 2020. Besides Mysore, the company has 4 plants across India.
HEG Ltd ( LNJ Bhilwara group company and a leading graphite electrodes manufacturer of South Asia ) is planning to invest Rs.. 2450 million to raise its production capacity of its Mandideep plant near Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. The project involves expanding the capacity from current 66,000 MT to 80,000 MT of graphite electrodes per year. The project will be completed by mid 2012.
