Racold Thermo to expand its Chakan plant

Racold Thermo Ltd, a subsidiary of Aristo Thermo of Italy is planning to expand its Chakan plant in Pune with an investment of Rs. 100 million. It will augment its water heater manufacturing capacity from 400,000 water heater units to 600,000 units per year. It may be noted, the company has recently launched water heater with timers convenient for users to have hot water and pre-determined times. It may be noted, the company had invested so far Rs.500 million in the plant

Kilburn Engineering plans new unit in Thane

Kilburn Engineering Ltd , a group company of Williamson & Magor is planning to move its plant in Bhandup in Mumbai to suburbs. It has sold the 8 acres of land in Bhandup for Rs.1150 million and is setting up a new plant with a capacity of 2400 tonnes in Saravalli in Thane district. The project cost is estimated at Rs.600 million and is likely to become operational by end of financial year 2011. KEL manufactures process equipment for heavy industries like petrochemicals, fertilizers, steel, oil & gas and power.

ITT expands design centre in Vadodara

ITT, a global fortune 500 company is investing USD 10 million to expand its design centre in Vadodara. The centre is used for pump design and will provide testing facilities for larger volume pumps. The company is also a large player in providing water treatment services.

PSL Ltd commissions new pipes plant in Chennai and Vizag

PSL Ltd, a manufacturer of pipe has commissioned a new plant in Madurantakam near Chennai. It has a capacity of 150,000 units. It also commissioned a new plant at Vizag with a capacity of 300,000-tonnes. These units will cater to pipe demand from GAIL, Reliance, GSPL, Cairn Energy and GMR for pipeline projects originating in southern and eastern states.
