Ebm-Nadi, manufacturer of industrial fans with joint-venture from Germany ebm-Papst has invested around Rs.660 million to set  up a new manufacturing unit near Chennai. The unit can manufacture 1500 industrial fans every day in 3 shifts. The company plans to double its turnover by 2015 and expects to have a export target of 1 million Euros. Though, iIt is facing increasing competition from China and Far East, which are cheaper by 35% .
