MIC Electronics to supply LED lighting products in cricket stadia

MIC Electronics has been awarded the contract to supply LED lighting products in all stadia where IPL matches are to be staged. The contract granted by Technology Frontiers is worth of Rs.148.7 million and will be executed by March 2009. The orders include LED perimeter screens and video screens.

Surya Roshini to expand its lighting unit production

Surya Roshini, a leading manufacturer of compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) is planning to invest Rs. 5000 million to expand its production to 3 million units a month. It also plans to produce street mast lightings and high mast lights. The company which has 30% market share in CFL, plans a campaign to contact 100000 retailers to bring awareness of CFL electricity savings and especially 50% in Andhra Pradesh.

 

The company plans to have five units two in Uttaranchal and one in Gwalior and another unit in South India. It recently launchd models - T5, T8 and T12 which has 15000 lighting hours.
