Super Sales India to set up gearbox unit at Coimbatore

Super Sales India, a member of textile major LNM group is planning to set up a gear box unit at its existing Mettupalayam unit in Coimbatore. The company will invest Rs.120 million to procure machines and will invest Rs.400 million towards expansion. The unit will sell 30% of its produce to LNM. It may be noted, the company was formed as a sales agency but diversified to produce yarns and generate power.

Hunger Hydraulics opens new plant in Sankrail

Hunger Hydraulics has opened its new plant at Sankrail in WB. The plant is on 0.6 acres and is built with an investment of Rs.130 million. The high tech polymers plant will manufacture polymer based seals and bearing elements for hydraulic /pneumatic cylinders for domestic markets and later to export markets.

Flowserve to expand Coimbatore operations

Flowserve, a leading pump manufacturer is setting up a new unit at its Othakalmandapam plant in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. The new unit will come up on 8 acres of vacant land at its existing unit will manufacture complex pumps for oil and gas industry and probably nuclear power sector pumps. The new unit will become operational by 2011-12. The company exports around 95% of its valves and 30% of its pumps manufactured here. Its Indian operations are growing at 35% YoY growth.

Bonfiglioli Transmissions to set up plant near Chennai

Bonfiglioli Transmissions, an Italian company is planning to invest around Rs 750 million at its existing plant in Chennai to capture 16% more of gearbox market. Currently, the company manufactures yaw and pitch drives for windmill application in India. Apart from this it caters to industries like machine tools, pharmaceutical, sugar, cement and construction. It plans to focus on industries such as textiles, conveyors used industries like automobile, road construction and others.
