TRF Ltd ties with Schade to bring world class yard equipment

TRF Ltd, a Tata group company has entered into an agreement with Schade Lagertechnik GmbH to manufacture bulk material handling equipment used in port yards. It will produce higher capacity stackers, portal scraper reclaimers, circular storage systems as well as wagon tipplers to meet TRF's ambitious growth plans. Schade will know-how and key components for production and TRF will market Schade products in India.

Caterpillar to double its truck manufacturing capacity in Chennai

Caterpillar, a leading truck manufacturer is doubling its manufacturing capacity at Thiruvallur near Chennai. After expansion, the new unit can manufacture shovels which will be exported to other South Asian countries. Its production capacity of 777D (a 100 tonne dumper) and 773E (a 60 tonne dumper) will be increased by 100%. The expansion programme is likely to be completed by 2012.
