Lemken GmbH and Co KG is setting up a new manufacturing unit in Butibori in Nagpur district of Maharashtra with an investment of Rs. 600 million. The plant will produce hydraulic reversible ploughs that can be used on tractors over 40 HP. The company will produce seedbed preparation implements, cultivators and disc harrows in its second phase in 2014. The company has set up a Indian subsidiary Lemken Agro Equipments Pvt Ltd.
New Holland Fiat Ltd is expanding its tractor manufacturing facility at its Greater Noida facility with an investment of Rs. 2200 million. Currently, the company has a capacity of 36,000 units which is being expanded to 60,000 units. The company is also scouting for a location to set up a unit for its sugar harvesting product unit.
Joy Global, a global manufacturer of mining equipments is planning to set up a production facility in Andal in Burdwan district of Bengal Aerotropolis- engineering & technology park. The company has signed an agreement with BAPL and it will joint venture with P&H Mining Equipment of India. Initially, the company will invest Rs. 1320 million and will produce high tonnage structures and in the second phase, it will produce open cast mining equipment like 10 cubic meter excavator. Currently, the company has a servicing facility in Nagpur
Beiqui Foton Motor, a Chinese automotive company is planning to set up a manufacturing facility in Maharashtra to produce trucks with an investment of Rs. US$380 million. The plant will have a capacity of 100,000 trucks a year and will produce both light and heavy trucks to meet the demand of Indian market. It may be noted, the company has assembly plants in South Africa, Thailand and Indonesia
